Bible Studies
Bible Study is an integral part of the life at St. Nicholas. We currently strive to offer at least two Bible Studies each year, with a planned growth for more classes every year. Our next study will be about Prayer;
Prayer Seminar Series offered
“Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-17
Prayer is an important part of our lives as people of faith. Even through many of us begin to learn to pray as children the task can be daunting. The scriptures hold many examples and commendations for the practice of prayer, however our daily practice may leave us with questions. Developing an understanding of what it means to pray, or answering questions about why we pray can be more difficult yet.
The Prayer Seminar Series hopes to provide a deeper understanding of why prayer is important and what it means to pray. Sessions about praying as community, sharing and responding to prayer requests and praying privately will help inform and encourage participants toward an enriched experience of a life of prayer.
The series will take place at Island Pacific Academy (IPA) on Sunday afternoons
Starting August 29 (until October 3) from 2 to 3:00.
Please feel free to invite a friend to come, contact Fr. Paul with any questions about the series, vicar@stnickschurch.org or 808.673.8069
